A brand born in 1971 in Somerset, Mulberry sunglasses are inspired by timeless design and traditional quality. Founded by Roger Saul, Mulberry was first established at his kitchen table, with just £500 backing from his mother. The infamous Mulberry tree logo was designed by Saul’s sister, to represent the tree’s he would pass every day on his way to school. This, along with the brand name ‘Mulberry,’ represents a love of nature, the importance of family and the growth of a true British brand. Mulberry sunglasses came at a later date, as the brand’s first designs were buckled leather belts. Other accessories soon followed including a womenswear line and the iconic Mulberry bag consisting of the infamous Trout satchel, the Bayswater and the Alexa, which have become iconic examples of British design. Today Mulberry sunglasses continue to celebrate true British identity by reinventing the past with the spirit of now.
